Adopt-a-Watershed
BIE provides PBL curriculum as well as facilitation and planning support for Adopt-a-Watershed which offers "Place-Based Learning" to schools and teachers interested in using their local watershed area as a focus for learning in all subjects.

Center for Effective School Practices, Rutgers University
The Center for Effective School practices (CESP) offers a wide variety of educational support programs to educators and schools on the East Coast. CESP trainers use the BIE methodology and Project Based Learning Handbook in their PBL workshops.

Center for Highly Interactive Computing in Education
(hi-ce), University of Michigan
BIE and hi-ce collaborated on the development of software and a Web site to help students understand economic concepts by carrying out investigations and simulations using handheld computers.

Coalition of Essential Schools
BIE collaborates with regional CES Centers nationwide to provide professional development and coaching for schools, teachers, and social science departments interested in project and problem based learning.

Co-nect
BIE sponsors Co-nect's annual "Kids Who Know and Do" conference. We also exhibit project and problem based resources and conduct a pre-conference session on PBL Basics.

Department of Educational Technology, Boise State University (BSU)
BSU’s Ed Tech Department offers a three-unit online course based on the BIE Project Based Learning model and methodology.

e.b.Studios Creative
e.b.Studios Creative, a Bay Area design firm, offers full website and design support for BIE. In partnership with e.b.Studios, BIE has redesigned and updated the BIE logo, print collateral, and relaunched the BIE.ORG website. The site includes ecommerce and database driven pages, making workshops and materials easy to order and making site content easy to update for BIE.

George Lucas Educational Foundation
GLEF offers a comprehensive site for PBL, including video clips of projects, research articles, and stories of PBL successes. There is also a PBL practitioner's discussion and information forum. In addition, the GLEF site has excellent information on topics such as emotional intelligence, assessment, and school-to-career programs. In partnership with GLEF, BIE is currently developing an instructional website and online PBL course for pre-service and practicing teachers.

Human Investment Research and Education (HIRE) Center, California State University, East Bay
BIE and the HIRE Center collaborate on the creation and dissemination of problem based economics materials and training.

Marin School of Arts and Technology
MSAT is a new, project-based, charter high school in Northern California. In addition to using BIE PBL methodology, MSAT is collaborating with BIE to study the implementation and use of handheld computers by all students.

National Academy Foundation
NAF's small public school-based "learning communities" empower high school students to successfully go on to higher education and enter professions of their choosing. BIE is working with NAF to create and incorporate problems and projects into its standards-focused curricula.

New Technology Foundation
The New Technology Foundation coordinates a network of innovative high schools implementing the problem-based learning models developed at Napa New Technology High School in California. Funded by the Gates Foundation, current plans call for the network to expand to 24 schools across the US. BIE contributes PBL training materials to the network.
