Rosanna Mucetti, Ed.D

As a former elementary classroom teacher and school administrator, Rosanna has extensive experience in implementing curricular reform at the classroom, school and district levels. At BIE, she provides districts with PBL implementation support. She works side by side with district leaders who are committed to a system wide vision for PBL and its sustainability. Her work is focused on supporting senior leaders with the development of a plan for creating the optimal conditions within their organizations for PBL to thrive and create success for teachers and students.
Rosanna has worked primarily with culturally and linguistically diverse student populations throughout her entire career. She is passionate about working with English Learners, and recently completed a dissertation, From Compliance to Instruction: Reforming English Learner Support Services. During these last five years, Rosanna has gained tremendous experience in strategizing and leading reform efforts as she works to address issues of equity for historically underserved students. As a principal of a large Title I elementary school, she attained success in this multifaceted position. Drawing upon her site leadership experience, Rosanna served as a manager of curriculum, instruction and English Learner services in the San Jose Unified School District where she worked to transform how central office designs, implements, and supports systemic change efforts.
Rosanna has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.S. in Educational Leadership from California State University, East Bay. She also has a multiple subjects, bilingual teaching and administrative services credential. She recently attained her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with a focus on social justice from CSUEB.
