Steve Markbreiter
CTE & Humanities
Steve Markbreiter is currently the Director of Professional Development at the National Academy Foundation (NAF). In this capacity, Steve organizes support services for NAF’s Academies nationwide. Steve is also working in collaboration to develop NAFs online professional development resources. In his nine years at NAF, Steve has also provided direct support to Academies, through strategic planning meetings, onsite assistance, and curriculum development. Prior to joining NAF, Steve taught high school social studies in New York City and Westchester County, earning his doctorate in Educational Organization and Leadership at the same time. Steve's previous experiences include working as an attorney, with a specialty in municipal finance, and serving as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand.
