Rubrics

A rubric is a scoring guide that clearly differentiates levels of student performance. When written well, rubrics provide a clear description of proficient student work and serve as a guide for helping students achieve and exceed performance standards.

Implementation Tools

One of the goals of Project Based Learning is to help students develop planning, self-management and self-assessment skills. It is also important that students develop the expertise necessary for productive group work.

Planning successful, standards-focused projects is difficult. Many different factors must be considered, and important decisions made before the project begins.

Tuning Protocol

The Tuning Protocol is a structured, small group method for discussing project plans at the beginning of a project or presenting findings as the project progresses. It can help students provide insightful feedback about a project, and reveal potential problems.
