Chris Fancher National Faculty
Chris Fancher has been teaching for over 20 years and has taught at every level from 6th grade math/science to college level algebra and statistics. He is currently the Instructional Coach for a middle school in Central Texas with nearly 1000 students and 50 staff. In addition to the normal IC duties Chris is responsible for professional development of his teachers in the art of project based learning.
Within Texas Chris has worked with regional education centers writing PBL units for geometry. He also consulted with Educate Texas (formerly the Texas High School Project) coaching and presenting at summer institutes. And, he taught math and engineering at the internationally recognized Manor New Technology H.S. in Manor.
Chris has degrees in math, engineering, and education and retired from the US Naval Reserve. The majority of his teaching experience is in secondary mathematics. He also had the opportunity to teach high school engineering classes with the Project Lead the Way curriculum.
