Jesse Bean National Faculty
Jesse is currently the Head of School at the Russell Byers Charter School, a K-8 Expeditionary Learning school in Philadelphia. Previously, he served as the Principal of Impact Academy of Arts and Technology, one of Envision Education’s network of high schools in the San Francisco Bay Area which became the focus of a 2014 Stanford University case study on student-centered learning and school design. Jesse has led workshops on project-based learning, performance assessment and school redesign for teachers and leaders in schools and districts across the United States.
Prior to his work as an administrator and consultant, Jesse spent a decade as a high school English teacher in the Philadelphia area. He is a graduate of Swarthmore College (B.A.) and of the Harvard Graduate School of Education (Ed.M)
