Kevin Armstrong National Faculty
Kevin is a 4th grade teacher at Katherine Smith, a New Tech Network elementary school in San Jose, CA. He is part of a dedicated team who are reinventing a high poverty, underserved urban school community into a wall-to-wall PBL school. Kevin works with his team to design authentic, real-world projects to engage students through inquiry and push them to think critically about new and innovative ways to apply their learning. Kevin also works as a Common Core implementation facilitator at the district level and has led several parent and district PBL introductory workshops. Kevin believes that all students should be prepared to think, learn, work, communicate, and collaborate effectively. He is passionate about PBL as a means for school transformation and ensuring students can meaningfully contribute to a 21st century world that is constantly evolving.
