Sarah Berry National Faculty
Sarah has spent 7 years in the classroom, most recently teaching AP Environmental Science in a Bay Area charter school. She has 3 years of experience as a teacher leader through facilitating professional development, leading collaborative working groups, and coaching new teachers. Sarah was awarded the Leonore Annenberg Teaching Fellowship and the Knowles Science Teaching Fellowship for her promise as an up-and-coming teacher and teacher-leader.
Sarah earned her BA in Human Biology and her MAT for Secondary Science Education from the University of Virginia. She is passionate about PBL and is most interested how PBL can be used to facilitate group work in a diverse classroom, teach transferable 21st century skills, as well as maintain rigor to challenge a heterogeneous group of students.
