The PBL 101 Workbook is designed to accompany BIE’s PBL 101 professional development workshop and may also be used in coaching sessions or curriculum planning meetings. It features tasks and resources that support participants in planning a project that includes the 8 Essential Elements of PBL. Resources include articles by BIE, rubrics for collaboration and presentation, a PBL Essential Elements Checklist and Project Design Rubric, project planning forms, and more. Please note that although the Workbook contains some of the presentation slides used in the PBL 101 Workshop, it does NOT contain guidelines for facilitators in how to use it, nor does it have the detailed guidance found in the BIE books PBL Starter Kit (for middle and high school) and PBL in the Elementary Grades.
