ACE Leadership High School
The mission of ACE Leadership High School is to equip young people who love to design and build things. They will serve young people who have limited means to have successful careers by caring for their intellectual, physical, and emotional well being as students. By doing this, they will prepare our students for a successful future in the Construction Professions (Architecture, Construction & Engineering).
Eagle Rock School
Eagle Rock is a year-round, residential, and full-scholarship school that enrolls young people ages 15-17 from around the United States in an innovative learning program with national recognition.
Explorer Elementary Charter School
Explorer Elementary Charter School is an independent public school which serves 340 children in grades K-5 who are enrolled by lottery. Explorer’s mission is to create caring, confident, life-long learners in a compassionate learning community that respects and values the different interests, abilities, learning styles, ethnicities and cultural backgrounds of each child.
Federal Hocking High School
Federal Hocking High School, a small high school set in rural Ohio, strives to help all students become life-long learners, active democratic citizens, and to be flexible in their career choices. Central to this mission is helping young people develop the self-esteem necessary to feel that they can make a difference in the world.
Manor New Technology High School
Manor New Tech is made up of applicants accepted through a blind lottery. As a result, the student population at MNTHS is diverse in all aspects, including the two largest subpopulations of young men and young women of color. Additionally, the project-based learning environment is student-driven, engaging, and meets the needs of a wide variety of academic abilities.
The Met Center of Providence and Newport, RI
Metro is a state funded public school district which serves 690 high school students in six small schools across three campuses in Rhode Island. Their work is focused on relationships, relevance, and rigor. The tools we use are real world learning, internships, individualized learning plans, a personalized environment, small school setting, and advisories.

Metro is designed to serve students who want a personalized and extraordinary learning experience that prepares them for a connected world where math, science and technology are vitally important. All Metro students engage in a personally relevant and academically rigorous curriculum within a safe and trusting environment.
School of Environmental Studies
School of Environmental Studies (SES), also known as the Zoo School, is a unique partnership between Independent School District 196, the City of Apple Valley, and the State of Minnesota (Minnesota Zoo). SES is a response to the well-documented need to create smaller, more effective learning communities providing authentic learning experiences.
Southwest Career and Technical Academy
Southwest Career and Technical Academy is a comprehensive magnet high school that offers eleven distinct program areas of study. Students can choose coursework in one of two academies: the Professional Service Academy and the Design Academy.
WAY Program
WAY Program is an online personalized learning experience for students who struggle with traditional high school. WAY offers an alternative approach to education; one that encourages self-esteem, independence, and the development of 21st century skills that will facilitate a college education and subsequent career paths.
