West Virginia Project Designs
The Project-Based Learning designs on this website were created by West Virginia teachers who worked with the WVDE Office of Instruction through participation in the Teacher Leadership Institute, the Secondary PBL project, content-specific professional development in mathematics, and the Model Schools and Classrooms project.
Project Based Learning at High Tech High
These projects are examples of the work that is done at all of the High Tech High Schools. Students can show their parents and friends the work that they have done, and the community can see how project based learning enables students to do and learn.
ePals Projects for Classroom Collaboration
The topics are standards-based and of global interest. Each project is designed to be used as is or customized to your classroom’s needs. An easy way to find a classroom with which to partner is to check the “Connect with Classrooms” forum on the project index page for posts by interested classrooms.
iEARN Collaboration Centre
The International Education and Resource Network (iEARN) enables participants to join existing structured online projects, or work with others internationally to create and facilitate their own projects to fit their own particular classroom and curriculum needs.
Global SchoolNet's Projects Registry
The Project Registry contains more than 3,000 annotated listings – and is searchable by date, age level, geographic location, collaboration type, technology tools or keyword. Many projects are aligned with the 21 Century Learning Skills matrix, the ICT Literacy Maps, especially in Science, Geography and English and International Society for Technology Education (ISTE) NETS Standards for Students.
National Service-Learning Clearinghouse
Service-Learning Idea or Curricular Example (SLICE) is a searchable database of quality service-learning lesson plans, syllabi, and project ideas funded by Learn and Serve America at all grade levels and subject areas.

Thousands of teachers have submitted creative initiatives for teaching projects, and hundreds have won cash and prizes for projects covering everything from the environment to the arts to digital learning and more.
Once Upon A School
This site is an online initiative developed in response to author and philanthropist Dave Eggers' 2008 TED Prize wish to inspire and collect the stories of private citizens engaged in their local public schools.
Nasa Outreach Projects
NASA offers several project-based learning modules with space exploration themes for students in grades 3 through graduate school, based on research conducted by the Human Research Program. Modules emphasize skills and learning in math, science, health and fitness.
