What is it? Thanks to the generous support of ECMC Foundation, the Buck Institute for Education (BIE) is pleased to announce a Request for Application (RFA) for teacher education programs to participate in a new BIE program that will prepare new teachers to use quality Project Based Learning (PBL) "out of the gate."
BIE is seeking six teacher education programs (TEPs) to engage in partnerships with districts to promote the use of PBL by preservice and master teachers, with customized professional development and support from BIE.
The goals of the BIE TEP-District Partnerships are prepare new teachers to be ready to teach high-quality PBL in their first year of teaching and to show evidence of PBL as an effective instructional method to prepare teachers to be ready to teach high-quality PBL in their first year of teaching and beyond. Participants will attend BIE-led professional development at no charge to TEPs and partner districts selected for this project.
